Caño Island is a small island and biological reserve in the Pacific Ocean of Costa Rica. It is the

second best place in Costa Rica to snorkel. The tour to Caño Island consists of around 3 hours of

snorkeling, this being the main activity. We leave to the island from the Marino Ballena Park,

approximately 1 hour and 20 minute boat ride, going and back. The tour is divided into two

snorkeling sessions at different spots. We also visit the island for a break between snorkeling

sessions and we share snacks and fruit during the tour. And afterwards, lunch.

Here we hope to see many marine species such as different types of fish, sting rays, turtles,

beautiful corals, whitetip reef sharks, among other species. Its waters have one of the most

extensive and best-conditioned coral reef formations on the Pacific coast. On the way to this

tour we can be lucky enough to spot resident dolphins in the area, and in season, species such as

migratory humpback whales.
